Anyone Had Their Holes Filled In?

Per topic I want to hear from anyone that's had the holes in their boot lid filled in where the spoiler fits? Weighing up whether its cheaper this way or to simply hunt for an XT bootlid.

by the time you mig the holes up, grind them down, body file, bit of filler to fill pin holes, then prime, sand, paint and buff, you'd hardly bother filling them! will cost way too much.

price up a XT bootlid from Ford, brand spankers. they might be cheaper than you think.

or you could start a hunting.

if you do end up filling the holes, might as well cut out a template, put a bit of shape to it, and fill the ford emblem up too....

+2 ^^^^ ,ive been through this with my car and the only way to do this is to either buy an second hand one or new..(beater said) you cannot fill the holes in a fg boot lid as its way to thin and will warp it or something Rather..I purchased one off a g6 second hand for $350..cheap enough and its genuine!

or you could just stop bieng ghey and keep the spoiler they look sh*te with xt boot that's why no one buys xt falcons only xrs

I paid $350 holes filled and welded and painted.

Id chase up a 2nd hand one first and weld fill etc as a last resort, then you have 2 bootlids one with wing one without can resell yours with the wing as always someone with an xt trying to pretend its an xr6 and plenty in red

I gotta say this one has me very tempted (to remove spoiler).

Only concern is how easy it is to get the center brake light in it's correct position (under the rear glass).

I wouldn't bother filling the holes I'd just buy a new boot lid.
