The media are portraying it as if the swat team were there with bolt cutters and angle grinders forcing their way in.It was a mere compliance check to ensure there were no outlaw bikies present or display of colours etc. If anything exciting went down there'd be plenty of footage of it - but alas there is none.I don't agree whatsoever with the draconian legislation, but a bit of perspective from all sides wouldn't go astray.I agree tab.. Again I disagree with the Hoon laws and the Bikie laws and they way they are being portrayed in the media.. Personally, I think the bikie laws actually aren't that bad if it wasn't for the 'bikie' factor..If you are a member of a known criminal organisation and you commit criminal acts while 'representing' that organisation, then yes.. Regardless of motorbikes/hotrods/scooters/lycra/cheap italian business suits you are participating in a type of 'organised crime'. But I disagree with the whole number of them in one place etc.. Imagine 3 blokes in lycra sipping lattes while wearing their patch 'CQ BUGS' (Bicycle User Group), getting arrested for exactly that.. Being part of 3 blokes sipping lattes.. Technically these blokes are part of an organised crime syndicate, because they band together and travel in packs and deliberately ignore the laws in relation to how many bicycles can travel side by side, ignore red lights and create general havoc for motorists.. I haven't seen much press on it but a comment was made very early on talking to a bloke I work with that 'maybe all the outlaw bikies will start hanging out at the vietnam vets clubhouses to avoid the new laws'.. Seems the cops had the same thought.. It's not like the members were gassed, cuffed and lined up face down in the gutter while the search was undertaken or anything.. But back onto the hoon laws:The pamphlet released by the gumbyment says that you have to be partaking in a time trial or burnout or street race for an illegally modified car to be anything more than a defect notice..Is that a new thing? Because I thought first review on these laws an illegally modified car was a Type 1 offence..

(Has just only taken effect though) In essence none of it is that bad and the spirit of both pieces of legislation is sound. It just sucks with Qld having no upper house the controlling party (of any persuasion) always takes things to the extreme - just because they can. And you can understand the logic in allowing plenty of wiggle room, but that's what has everyone up in arms. And you see all the stats about bikies only being responsible for 0.6% of crime or something which is complete horse sh*t. How much do they have an influence in where no convictions are ever recorded. Or the heavy handed tactics they use to siphon money out of small businesses in a mafia style 'protection' racket. They are parasites that do a toy run once a year to try and mask the other 364 days of turmoil. But as with the anti-hoon agenda there are innocents that will inevitably get caught up in it. Tough titties and suck it up you sooks, nobody has ever cared about all the times I've been targeted for simply driving a performance vehicle and been automatically assumed to be breaking the law just thanks to a bit of old-fashioned profiling. Hopefully next on the agenda is the Vicious Lycra-clad Cyclists Disestablishment Bill 2013

They are all about ego'sRotating safe houses for 'management" would work better at keeping law enforcement chasing.their tails.Stealth not confrontation is key.Clearly.. Send in Joh's army.OMCGs exist for several reasons "money, substitute family, lifestyle etc"Should the collective heads fight one enemy the law or should we allow themto pursue their egos and kill one another ?BTW they are gangs for a reason. They are nothing individuallyStill the cash will roll in . Numbies will still kill one another for money regardless.

As I stated earlier - you can not place us in the same basket - there are some that need to be hit with a stick whilst others offend no one , and certainly cause no harm and or disruption - and simple go about their business . It is clear , whether you trail walk, trail ride , ride a horse , and do just about anything these days, some minority group is out to get you !! - Why ??? - F _ off - and leave us be and show us the respect we show you !
