There is about 6 billion posts on this site alone about the FG immobilising itself when the battery starts to die. Don't waste anymore time here go out get a new one and put it in and you will be ridgy didge!And if there are any other causes I'm sure there's not a lot you or anyone on this site could do to help. The battery had been replaced 6 months earlier and has been charged and tested as ok as has the charging system but this vehicle has had a few electrical issues causing ECT faults causing loss of throttle whilst driving as well. Throttle body has been replaced but it still has random ECT fault on the dash, Mostly on cold start up . Car has come home back to me from melb with the ETC on the dash but has not played up since.
