I don't mean to hijack your thread mate, but I am going down the same path at the moment.

Decisions, decisions, decisions.

I have bought the 5" venom high flow cat as it was on a special as part of the group buy.

I also bought it as it was stated that the cat was a bolt on to the standard exhaust and dump.

This should see us through to 300-320rwkw.

I do not have any plans to change the dump pipe.

I am also looking at getting the id1000 injectors as the tuner prefers there. The other item on the list is the process west stage 2 intercooler.

I am tempted to purchase an xcal3 second hand to save some coin, but I know that we need to make sure that it is in married from the car.

Anything else to look out for?

With those mods mate 300 should be certain, any more just depends on the tune etc. As for a second hand x3 its a risk because as a tuner explained to me in another forum, even if there's a pic of the screen saying its unlocked they could be dodgy and marry it to a car after that photo. If you can see it in person to see its unlocked/unmarried then you should be right.

I'm only considering a dump as the gain in the mid is 'meant' to be pretty good, still trying to work this out as you probably read lol

And another Seres/4b car did 11.6 drilled injectors fuel pump cat and pipes @119. Less boost due to valve springs floating.

never understood what drilled injectors are, whats the difference between them and normal injectors or the 60lb dekas?

Its where a place take small/stock injectors and drill them out larger ........ Then flow test them to have some form of parity

In the early days this was a viable option as large injectors were still classed as a new item and cost a bucket load

Dekas are a brand name by the company siemans commonly in 60lb and 80lb

I think its fair to assume everyone should buy a dump first.

before flash box, before cat.

maybe even before they buy their car.

regardless if its turbo or not.
