Hi all I'm in the market for a new ute and just wanting to know what the upgrades from Fg mk1 to 11 were?

All I can tell so far is wheels, 8inch touch screen, front bar and instrument cluster is slightly different

Deciding if to buy new or get a cheaper older one. I'm looking at nitro blue and they don't make that anymore that's why I'm thinking of older.

Cheers

Jumping from an FG to an FG11 there are quite a few interior bits that have been revisited. Carpet mats now have proper clips rather than a screw in hook. The mats themselves are different, same shape but different construction. The steering wheels look the same but have a different feel about them. The leather also looks to be better quality. Infact the whole interior just feels better put together. Not saying the FGs were in any way bad but the quality just feels better. The first 8" touchscreens were quite laggy aswell, theres been an update though which makes them better.

There have been engine bay rearrangments too. The air con lines around the airbox have been altered. Intercoolers changed mid FG to have plastic end tanks.

Got my mk2 in october and as far as I can tell, its a full touch screen, projector headlights, the different shape lower grill (which is actually the same shape as the fpv lower grill outline)

My 50th anniversary mats have the clips, not the screw in things. Unfortunately one broke and guess what, Ford only sell them with the mats.
