BRK Member 361 Member For: 13y 4d Gender: Male Location: Perth Posted 09/03/13 12:35 AM Share Posted 09/03/13 12:35 AM The T56 fluid change is easy enough but getting the reverse light switch out needed a special spanner........ an " adjustable type" which was an open ended spanner re-done with a grinder to make it thin enough and narrow to get behind the switch. After that, a cheap funnel and a length of clear fuel hose and a ladder to mount the funnel system for some flow and 4 odd litres of dexron 3 and its done.(Christ............ after reading that ... talk about primitive........ I should put a sign in the garage "VERY average automotives.")

k31th less WHY; more WOT Site Developer 29,040 Member For: 16y 8m 7d Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 11/03/13 02:58 AM Share Posted 11/03/13 02:58 AM Freaky, drain from white drain point on lower passenger side of radiator (engine-bay side). Open the yellow lid on the coolant bottle to allow to drain quicker.Flush with water from a hose if you want to do a complete job by putting the hose in the coolant bottle (with the drain still open), keep it running until water coming out of drain is the same colour as the water coming out of the hose into the overflow bottle, turn hose off, let it drain again. Replace drain plug, refill with either pre-mix coolant or post-mix coolant until at "cold minimum" level.Leave lid off the bottle and start car, pump up the aircon to max heat, let it idle until thermostat completely opens (normal water temp indicated on gauge), top up coolant bottle as necessary, put lid back on, take car for a drive around the street (10min or so), come back and check level again and top up as necessary. Check again a few times over the next week making sure there are no leaks and that the level stays stable Done.
