Caught soon enough, that would not cause as much problem as say running different compression on one bank, as would be the case if the Bare castings were different. FORDTECH Member 383 Member For: 21y 8m 22d Location: On the edge Posted 09/02/04 10:10 AM Share Posted 09/02/04 10:10 AM Have to agree with WBT65.There is sweet FA diference in the head design between the 2.The main machining difference is that the GT cylinder head has marginally longer valve stems to accomodate for the extra cam lift.The valves are also reprofiled at the valve base for optimum gas flow.I'm also privy to all bulletins and documents sent out to Ford dealers regarding these sort of matters and havent seen the said document.
