F6E's are amazing!

I was actually looking at F6's out of curiosity after reading this and I was surprised that you could basically get a demo one for a bit over $50k! Or for $40k you can get an 09 with liek 20-30,000kms! Unfortunately for new car buys they depreciate heaps but great for those who can't afford new!

Dunno what's your budget but this is a pretty good buy!

Sorry to go off topic, but why is an F6E soo much better then an F6?

Apart from the obvious visual difference and memory seats, mechanically all the F6E has over the F6 is bigger brakes from factory?

Rarity is all I think about with F6E, and subtler looks to a lesser extent. Are they standard with 6/4 Brembos?

Bellato,

That's the one I want... Looks so slick! Nice and angry stance but not too 'loud' on the street. Just seeing if finances will get me there but it's the pick of the bunch in my eyes.

Steve, They do have the 6/4 brembo's - Basicaly from what I understand, they are a fully optioned F6 with wood grain inserts, G6E style lip, colour coded bumpers and F6E wheels and some other blingy bits... Dunno bout a sunroof though...

I have to admit that I do really like the exclusivity of it all.

*Thinks about it...*

I really do need to buy that white F6E... :bliss:

No sunroof NVT, theres no place for one either. Up front is a sunglass holder and interior lights, the middle has more interior lights and a mic.

Rarity is a good thing, I've only seen 2-3 others

The 6/4 combo is worth a heap on its own.

Looks wise it just looks right. Like yea you can say what's different because ... but its just the perfect combo if you ask me

And yes exclusivity, I think I've only ever seen a Gt-E in real life not even an f6-E.

Hey everyone,

Sorry about the massive delay with this thread.

After having a good look at finances, and seeing as my F6E of choice was sold, I've decided to go with a local FG F6.

It is a 2009 model, 40,000km's, black with argents, tinted and lowered - 1 private 50 yo owner, full logs. Showroom condition as well :spoton:

I just wanted to see what I should be on the lookout for with this car. I'm having it professionally inspected early next week and I have been asked if there are any area's that I'd like to be 'more thoroughly' checked. Apart from the gearbox and the engine/turbo is there anything else I should look for? Sadly it's out of warranty so I'd like to use this check as a means of further negotiating with the seller, or identifying any costly issues. Any common drama's to look into?

I drove a few F6's and this was by far the nicest. Although I'm thinking it is quite close to needing the brake service done as it didn't pull up quite as quickly as some of the others...

If all goes well, I'll have it in my driveway late next week! Pics will follow :spoton:

Cheers guys,

Dan

The dreaded diff bush! Mine needed to be replaced after 20,000kms, I couldn't even tell there was a problem. Luckily it was under warranty still, the service manager said it was over $1000 to replace.

Also, if it comes time to have the brakes replaced, try ferodo DS2500 pads all round, braided lines and dot 5 fluid. Matt from race brakes in Sydney can supply all that and ship to anywhere, should cost you under $1000 all up fitted, the performance and feel of the 4/1 brembos is amazing after that. Forget brake fade!

Enjoy the new machine.

Hey guys,

Today I put down a deposit on an F6!

It's a white, 2011 model with just under 28,000 km's. Comes with 1 year new car warranty and is FULLY optioned! Big 6/4 brake kit, full leather, reverse camera, tek pack and SatNav (With a freakin' remote control) and a tow pack. No sunroof though as apparently it wasn't an option?

It was originally an un-driven demo that was optioned up for the showroom. It's in amazing condition and I'm just waiting on an inspection so hopefully I'll have it mid next week.

Plans for it are Argents, a bit of low, dark tint and maybe some plates. Has the twisty's on it, so that's the only thing I'm not 100% happy with but that's only a small drama... Hit me up lads if you're selling any genuine argents! :sungum:

Mods down the track I think :spoton:

Thanks to everyone who has helped me so far - Very much appreciated! Pics will follow!!

Cheers,

Dan
