Hey all,

As the title states I'm possibly only weeks away from getting my first FPV! I've got 3 F6's to choose from depending on price, drive etc so I just needed to ask a few quick questions.

1) Regarding transmission servicing, how often is it required with a 6 speed ZF and is it included as part of the 'log' service? As in, will I know when and how often it's been done?

2) At what intervals are the brake services due? I read somewhere that it was 50,000 but I want to be certain so I can negotiate a little more strongly. This service includes pads, rotors and fluid right?

3) Besides bushes and the odd driveline clunk and the like, is there any other major/common things to pay notice too?

It will be inspected preofessionally and I will drive and inspect them all myself but I like to be well informed :spoton:

Thanks for the advice guys,

Cheers,

Dan

My xr's brakes were done at 75,000kms by FOrd just before I bought it as er log book. Zf never included in log book to be done and unless they've done their research the zf won't have been serviced

How many kms on the cars?

Thanks for the information guys,

I'm planning on ideally getting a 2010 onwards with preferably under 40,000kms on it. The less the better...

As was mentioned, considering no ZF service I'd be stupid to get a high Km F6.

Seen an absolute crakcer of an F6E with under 25,000kms that I'm seeing if finances will allow for "dream car right there"

Cheers guys,

Dan :spoton:

Thanks XtRmn8,

I'm pretty sure I'll be getting it from the Eastern states... Like you said, it's horrendous how expensive they are here...

Cheers mate,

Dan

F6E or bust

Has the same number of characters as your name, it is your destiny.

PS see you on a cruise again after you get her :)
