THE DRIVERS CHAIR SQUEEKS when it moves around or bounces a bit while driving.. how to fix this?? anyone else had the same issue??

The interior is in really good/excellent condition, not worn or sagged or anything, just this damn squeek!

Setup:

2003 BA XR6T
Full leather interior

Cheers

you have cracked the seat base and it needs to be repaired/replaced and recommend reinforcing if like your name says, your big

I'm 6'6 and 140kg so yeah guess I fall in to the category lol, the seat has always been like this even when buying the car though

can you elaborate more on the seat base? where can I get one? how much? and easy to do or best to get mechanic to f*ck around with it ripping the whole chair out? does the whole chair need to be relpaced?

Cheers

we have done quite a few, the early ones we would just reweld, but when you have lightweight females breaking in stock cars, you learn they are weak.

We purchase a new seat base from ford, reinforce it while it's apart and then give to our trimmer to swap the seat base with the old one and then refit.

If a trimmer is used, normally there is no sign of ill fitting trims etc
