6 hours each way for a tune! There is a tuner 10mins away!!! Mr hdt! Name says why I don't visit there workshop. Sometimes it pays to visit a reputable shop.

No 5 injector adaptor was covered in oil and possibly may have been shorting, but oil appears to be from rocker cover breather so may be a result of excessive blow by, but have in the past seen ring issues from cylinders miss firing

Compression is down in no 2 slightly and very low in No5, comps were checked 3 times, leakdown test was carried out and will not hold pressure in no5 and is going into crankcase, We have had success with ring issues in the past without dismantlng the engine, but the car was given back to owner before complete diagnosis was carried out and while trying a possible fix as owner needed his car back.

Camshafts also have some strange wear but not the cause of the running issues, but could be a future issue

Sorry for reviving an old post. Just curious on what method you take to address the piston ring issue suggested in the above post without dismantling engine as you have done in the past?

I assume your not referring to oil additives?
