Helloooo

Got an issues with the air con in my 2010 FG. Went somewhere last night, air con was working fine. Stopped, turned the car off and did what I needed to do. Got back in the car and there is no aircon? I press auto and set it to low but it blows hot air? Have tried playing with settings to no avail. Will have a look under the bonnet tonight for anything.

Anybody had something like this before?

Had it happen a few times, disconnect battery, wait 30 mins, reconnect. Start car, turn AC on (temperatute doesnt matter), do not drive the car for a few mintues, then drive away as normal and you should be good to go.

Very common. Test the battery first, if required replace it, if it tests ok disconnect it for 10min and reconnect. This will reset the him module. What happens is low cranking voltage (below 9.6v) causes the him to freeze.

A dodgy starter can also cause this as high current draw causes a low cranking voltage. (Shut up j@snot)

Funnily enough when I got in it after work today it was all working fine. Thank f#ck as it was 42 degrees haha. I didn't need to do any of the above, but thanks anyway, hopefully it stays all good.

no worries. and if the battery tests out fine?

could it actually be something to do with the A/C system?: even though it does seem like an electrical problem.
