Ever gone to the track and done hard stops from 200kph?

in my VS commodore, yeah done that, with slotted rda standard rotors and the stadard qfm pads.....never warped but they did fade lol

to original poster, is your calipers ok? and brake booster? also after you stop check the wheels, if there f*cking hot then it sounds like your brakes are dragging causing heat build up

It could just be the pads. I had Bendix CT pads on a set of new discs (unknown as put on prior to me purchasing the car) and after 5000km of sedate driving were starting to shudder. I replaced the pads with Ferodo DS without any machining and whilst they shuddered in the beginning, they are now to the point of no shudder after a few thousand Ks due to the Ferodos being a bit more agressive and leaving the disc cleaner.

But in saying that all these disc look the same when its the metalurgy that really determines how good it really is. The more you pay the better I think.

The RDA's are back on the terry now with Bendix pads. I'll see how they go. The amount milled off the rotors was minimal according to the brake place. The brakes grabbed and the judder was really noticeable - anyway, I'll report back. This car is a stocker. I went with RDA as the supplier reckons they sell these to the trade. Anyway, if they turn bad again, DBA will be the next fit.

My T has had no issue with the std 322 factory rotor and pads. No track days but a bit of spirited driving from time to time. They are coming up soon so maybe the DBA slotteds might be a good upgrade and perhaps Bendix ultimates , Ferodo or the QFM pads?

Not sure on what type of rotors you are using, but have been told not to use CT's on slotted or drilled rotors, heavy duty are better in that application

The calipers, and brake system is all in good nick. I kept driving on it for a bit longer, and the right side rotor is blue between each slot.

When the guy machined them, the same side was the side that seems to be the issue.

No I don't sit with my foot on the brakes after a hard stop.

I think 1 rotor is just dodgy.

I honestly think 325mm is too small for 1850kg and 300+ kw.

As above, You may have a problem with the slide on that caliper.Had one binding up at work last week with that issue.
