Because if he had of gotten out of his car things would have escalated alot more than a single punch in the face..

agree. whats the point of being violent back? plus there were 2 of them so that's a good way to end up in hospital.

I would let the situation resolve itself as easily and quickly as possible, and even apologise if they were willing to listen.

mate ive got a wife and 3 kids to think about. im sure they would prefer me to back down then have to visit me in a coma because of a bit of stupid pride.....

yeah mate, fair enough. I just don't like the thought of someone cheap shotting you, then getting away with it.
