Hoping to recover a few hundred rpm in spool that the 66mm wheel robed from me!Well I have finally got around to sorting my set-up. I haven't tuned it yet and need to put in a heavier wastegate spring, but initial thoughts are that it's still too laggy for my liking. Probably comparable to the GT3566r on the stock manifold. Once on boost though it revs out very smooth and the car is definately making more power. As Trana predicted, heat is an issue! I've had to try and heat proof everything. Yet to make something for the master cylinder and I'm pretty sure it's going to need it.

I have put on a precision 6466 in a 1.04 rear with a 6 boost hi mount, would be good to see differents's between the 2, mine being manual was going for as quick a spool as possible and same as you heat is crazy under bonnet, though pcpa have got turbo blankets on sale atm for $90, helped a bit

Mine is a 1.06 twin scroll so it is quite sizey compared to a conventional T3 1.06. Mine is all ceramic coated but feels like it has done squat lol. Oh my is manual too so was keen for quick spool, but it could be better TBH.What gate and psi spring have you got in yours? I'm in Perth also, would be good to catch up. Best you be test driving it instead :-) The 6466 is a big turbo, its compressor inducer is 2mm bigger than the GTX35...but more importantly the exhaust turbine exducer is 4mm bigger also. So its no surprise it's rated at 900hp compared to the GTX's 750hp. I think they have a 1.00 and a 1.15 A/R rear......a 1.15 would be stupid so you must have the 1.00. I reckon it would be a very interesting comparison and I would be keen to do a few quick data logs to get some decent comparison on manifold pressure vs RPM! Are you using the factory boost control? turbotrana Member 2,586 Member For: 21y 8m 23d Gender: Male Posted 22/07/13 02:44 AM Share Posted 22/07/13 02:44 AM I did a low mount tubular TO4z on my ED with a high mount wastegate, Heat was still ridiculous that it melted the master cylinder. I did an ally heat shield and still pretty hot. The old log manifold that I had on this ED was much better from heat and reliability aspect.
