hey guys, first post from me. GREAT forum! sorry if this is in the wrong spot...

I'll be in the market for a G6ET very soon and am in a bit of a pickle, so looking for some advice.

"ideal purchase" would be a 2010 G6ET in white 19" with low kms (~50k...less would be even better)

for the above, I would be looking at around $32-34k

a 50th Aniversary would be nice...but we're talking upwards of ~$36k

now, a Grey 2008 G6ET 18" with 70k has popped up for ~$22k

now its grey...'08...with 70K...but its 10k less over a white G6ET. huge saving! but pretty much at the other end of what I'm after....but I'll be ~$10k better off and this is whats drawing me to it. I could put this towards mods and even a repray to white down the track (bit extreme I know)

I'm gutted as a Grey '10 50th G6ET with 22k recently sold for $28k (but was not in the position to buy) for this particular car...I was happy to forget about white (as I'd be getting a 50th with 22k on the clock for under $30k) :)

my pickle is...do I wait and buy a white one...spend more money...or save a bundle and grab the grey one?

what would you do?

thanks!

welcome mate, I'd wait it out by the time you're ready to buy something, something else might come up for a better price and in the colour you want. Hang in there mate.

Yea stick to your guns and something will come along. It's easy to compromise when you are so keen to buy a car.

ah ok, no worries.

yeah not sure. I think I may hold off. I'm not in a huge rush.

would there be any major reasons you would pick a 2010 over a 2008? besides being 2 years younger?

were there any faults in the earlier models which may have been ironed out by 2010?

with all the reading I've done on here, I haven't come across any

thanks again.

That's a bargain mate! I would jump on it and spend the rest on mods.

And if you're really that worried, get it see how you like the colour and if you really don't like it sell it. I'd say you'd be able to make a profit or at least get back your stamp duty so worse case you don't lose anything buying it
