Mick,

The wife drives a SY Mk II Territory, AWD, so its got the ZF. Should I be buying the PWR heat exchanger in order to stop it from milkshaking or to prevent any other problems arising just after the warranty expires?

cheers

I do not believe it may fit the territory awd, I was talking to Steve today from PWR and without having the car in front of us we believe the driveshaft would interfere with the unit, happy to be corrected

Spoke to a couple transmission places here in SA regarding the PWR vs. External cooler. One place in particular mentioned he had seen the PWR unit fail resulting in a milkshake and he recommended an external cooler to completely eliminate the risk. No further details sorry and unsure of reliability.

as the PWR is only a fairly new item, I would think any owner would have gone back to PWR re this and we would have heard more about this, I also know that many people are quick to cast doubt about products they do not fit

Unsure of the reliability of the heat exchanger or the reliability of the hearsay.

Unsure of hearsay. Even if it has happened I know I'd rather the PWR kit than the OEM. That being said I'm booked @ Bruce's for an external unit on tuesday.
