It's not only the PWR unit that addresses both issues.

I like PWR, don't gets me wrong. My ute was used to design their first FG cooler. But compared to a Process West cooler, it was garbage.

They don't really give a f@$k about our cars compared to the businesses that always are developing products for our cars.

^^^ lol, no payments unfortunately. Yes, the guys have a plan B. The cad design looked like a good thing and I like the idea of an exchanger. Hacking the inner guard and popping the driving light out to get air flow just isn't my thing. Running different temp through these things for daily use is also yet to be proven over time, not to mention the stuff ratter has commented about. The price point will be the killer.

Hi Torque will design you a better trans cooler then PWR ever will.

Really when is their Heat Exchanger coming to market?

If you mean an oil to air cooler then so can any radiator / tranny joint all over the country. An oil to air cooler is about as basic design as you can get.

^^^ totally missed the point ^^^

How is that. The initail post in this thread relates to PWR building a replacement Heat Exchanger and not a generic trans cooler which is my point.

Furious Performance also do a good kit with braided hoses, auto fans (preset temps) so I totally appreciate that there are other ways of achieving trans cooling.

Its really simple if the part wasn't prone to failure people would be less inclined to replace it , if you only do short trips I personally think an oil to water cooler will help bring it up to temps quicker and should sustain the temperature.

If someone designs a more efficient version that takes up less space and works like OEM intended this can only be a good thing.

oil to water should be more efficient for a given space with heat exchange then oil to air.

With all the advances made in technology oil to air cooler is definitely not state of the art vs a well planned and engineered factory version oil to water.

I don't see the point in changing it if it hasn't failed. What's to say this unit will be any more or less reliable.
