Pretty much most of the air to oil coolers that I have seen are to small and will restrict oil flow, also the zf calibration has different pressures based on oil temps.

true that.. That's why some in the know say "don't run long lines on the zf"

Well the original heat exchanger works really well, obvious problem being the milkshake caused by the original heat exchanger,I discussed this with Steve and theye made a near bulletproof heat exchanger which is twice the size of the stock,so I guess we will see in the next few days which way things will go,once the kit is finally out for sale that's the one you will want

another member here told me that a week or so ago.

yep, was me :) I've seen the cad drawings. Will mount outside of chassis rail. Looks like a good thing. I won't be cheap though.

the chassis mount setup isn't happening anymore due to too long lines and drilling into the chassis

^^^ they were also intending to incorporate a bash plate to protect the lines where they pass under the rail. The kit will be in two forms. One with the braided lines, one without. You will need to drill three holes in the side of the rail to mount.

Good on them for doing it but the fg has been out 6 years I kinda expected them to have something already...can't really blame others such as myself for going with an external cooler when their was nothing else available
