Did you price a new tps from Ford?

A TPS ? No , there's one on Ebay for $120 new

Ford wanted nearly $800 for a throttle body & about $430 for the PPS.

I went to Mr.Ford in Sydney - they have LOTS of them.

Good to hear you've got it sorted.

It seems that all this talk has jinxed my car. It started playing up the other day.

I start it when it's cold, it revs up to 2000 then engine light comes on then it turns off.

I've changed the throttle body to a complete different one and still the same issue.

I'm thinking/hope it might be the accelerator pps

$150 for a second hand TPS is pretty rich.

I didn't buy a second hand TPS.

It's the accelerator pedal assembly (PPS). Depending on your car the new price from Ford varies from just over $400 to nearly $500 ..THAT is rich ;)

Anyway , the car is in perfect running order, unfortunately now I have to sell it.
