Take it all out and put it in the series 2 or leave it for the new owner and start all over again with the series 2?

Hopefully, the rumours are all true about the stronger transmissions ............The price I was quoted for the injectors was $145 (or $147 I can't recall) each and the fuel pump (which flows 600HP) was $340 from memory. The injectors are multi orifice and 440cc which sounds very similar to APS. Throw in $875 for the intercooler and it works out pretty cheap really. Can't wait! How much are the injectors and are they anything special? Thanks,Kris.Hi Chris, They are not the injectors we use, and they are pintle type (not multi orifige type) and not a very nice injector, I know as we have tested two sets, they are going into the rubbish bin. The injectors we utilise are genuine bosch, not cheap and horrible, poor copies of the real deal .PeterAPS

Am I being told fibblies?? :(

Am I being told fibblies?? :(Ww tested a number of sets prior to xmas, from the people you mentioned ealier, they were pintle type(not multi orifice type) they did not flow what we were told (we checked each for flow no two injectors were the same) and in short (I'd better be careful what I say in a public domain) they were very poor injectors, the worst that I have ever seen and I have seen some horribler injectors over the last 18 years. Of course they may have imported some genuine Bosch injectors, if so and there multi orifice type and the correct size then go for it. I suspect the injectors will end up being cheap nasty copies if they are the same as I have tested. Be very careful, I know more about this issue, though I am thin ice now.PeterAPS
aps Member 1,505 Member For: 21y 11m 14d Posted 16/01/04 10:20 AM Share Posted 16/01/04 10:20 AM From what I understand APS (possibly others aswell) conducted tests that have shown the performance of the ford fuel pump when new can provide the pressure but over time the performance of the pump dramatically decreases to the point where it's incapable of providing enough pressure, to an engine with phase 2 or higher modifications. This is spot on. Factory fuel pumps can and do quite often drop fuel pressure over a short period of time, and when asked to work overtime by a rising rate pressure reg, its an accident looking for somewhere to happen. You only need a short period of time with the engine running lean (caused by low fuel pressure) and you can end up with a massive engine damage caused through detonation. Why take the risk, its just not worth it.PeterAPS

We might be able to offer some (Eastern State ) help to your dealer if he is stuck.Lachlan Hi Lachlan, it was the manifold pressure switch, apparently faulty. Nice piece of gear bolts straight in, inlet and outlet are both on R.h side so you also lose about 80cm of hose. I got a photo of this bit of sexual gear at Summernats, will post up later tonight! Looks very nice and well built. Definately worth the 875 clams.Hypnodoc, have you installed the cooler yet?
