So,

Recently someone ran into our car and damaged down the side and destroyed one wheel. Cops attended the accident and the other party was deemed at fault and charged with neg driving and I got the car fixed through my insurance(AAMI).

The issue is the wheel that was damaged was not replaced by AAMI and they only offered a pay out for it.

The wheel is a Verde Kaos Black w/ Machine Lip in 18x8.

I've tried Taleb Tyres(where it was originally purchased), Tech 9 Tyres in Perth and Custom Wheels and Tyres in Penrith. Taleb Tyres have one set left and can't get any more so wont split it up and everyone has advised production has stopped on these wheels.

Unfortunately AAMI don't cover full sets of wheels/tires so even though I was at no fault in this incident it looks like I'm going to be out of pocket quite a bit if I can't find this wheel.

Does anyone know anywhere else I could find a replacement wheel?

Any help is much appreciated!

How bad is the wheel ? They can reroll weld etc pretty good these days , I had one buckled badly you could see it sway just on the ground and they got it better then factory as I wasn't able to get another without damage and buckles as a replacement.

Wheel is definitely gone.

We were driving at 60km and a minivan reversed out of a driveway, he had a little metal step at the back of the van which basically can opened the car down the side and ripped the wheel.

I guess depends how much the pay out is. Might not be too out of pocket if you buy the new set, keep one of your old ones as a spare and sell the other 2 as a pair for someone to do track work,or for a trailer or something
