Then I got older and realised they are GM, combined with being given an XF as first car, dad driving Fords and Mum driving Mustangs (back in the states) made me into a Ford lover. I can appreciate a nice sounding Expensive Daewoo V8 or classic shape however (or turbo import).Went from that XF Fairmont 4.1L for a couple years to an EA 4.0L I crash repaired with dad which was light years ahead! 4 speed auto wow hahaha. Then I was taken for a ride in 2003 by a worker for Telstra who had a BA Turbo company car. After 5 years later I joined here, did some reading and got my hands on my BFII. Loving every km driven since!

Went to buy my first car, drove a vl, thought "what a heap of sh*t". Then drove a vn, wasn't any better. Got in my mates ef futura manual, loved it, sooo nice. bought my first car, EB falcon manual, never looked back.

Grew up though with my uncle driving a pretty worked 82 LTD V8, big, black and loud! Had the pleasure of driving it a few years while I was at uni, 620Nm of torque at about 2000rpm in a v8 was insane. So had a Soft spot for a loud v8, heard me coming a mile away. But wanted an xr6T ever since they came out and finally picked up an fg 2 years ago and in love. Tried following ford in the v8 supercars, was a few dry years there before Ambrose, then had to wait for whincup to smash it again. Then ford had some crack smoking management that decided to let 888 walk to Holden. Now follow them still but just pretend they drive ford lol. In the future I'd be happy to own any car that put a smile on my face and was affordable and practical, except Korean or Chinese. Cannot stand 1 eye supporters because they buy a car for the name. My 6 year old VZSS Ute handled better than my 2012 Mk 2 ute.

I was a one-eyed Honda supporter unfortunately, the car maker's direction had disappointed me to the extent that I will probably never buy one again. I now appreciate other car brands but mainly turbocharged cars. The LV Focus XR5 was my first turbo and I've been hooked on turbos ever since. There are also people that simply because Mercedes,Audi or BMW make it,it's the "bees knees".This is happening with the upcoming new hot hatch from Mercedes. I've seen comments such as" it will destroy the other hot hatches "blah!..blah!..blah!It very well might be a great hatch but wait until there are actual reviews on the car. Although I must say for $50,000 you get a lot of kit but power and torque is 155kw and 340 nm respectively.....less than a ST Focus. If I had the means,I would gladly be an one-eyed Porsche turbo fan(atic)!
