When a lot of members..including admins...came from Holden's it's not much of hard thing to work out....

My thoughts exactly.There seems to be a panic.Wait and see what Ford has in store,besides

what we have seen is the General's top Late model camira the Calais.Will the base model look as good

as the Calais?

Even the HSV GTS is rumoured to have the "new" 6.2L with 335 kw and just over 600nm.The current GT Falcon has the same kw

and only about 40 nm less.Ford only needs small improvements in power and torque with the main problem I see is being able to get the power onto the ground.

A "little" re-flash of the F6 would most likely surpass the new 6.2L in power and torque.

So all we can do is wait maybe Ford will come through with the goods....or not :(

Buying a new car has got to be have more to do with it than just kw's.

The FG now looks about 10 years behind the Late model camira and is going to struggle further.

Are Ford even bothering to do an upgrade?

I bought my xr6t for pure performance. I paid 32k for mine and I can keep up with current model hsv's. The way I see it they paid nearly double for a bit more bling.. I used to be a Expensive Daewoo fan even worked there as an apprentice motor mechanic. I had a Vp s pack with ss body kit senator leather seats lowered mags and dropped a 5L in to it later on. But once I drove the xr6t I was sold.

Also all these extra additions I have heard about like parking assist and the crash feature that alerts you if your going to hit a car infront of you. There just another electrical thing that can stuff up. I wouldn't go any where near a vf until a s2 or even s3. Even then I wouldn't I'd probably test drive one but only if it has a hair dryer hanging off the side of it..

Showed the drive.com.au article to a guy at work who has a ve series 2 hsv gts and he wasn't very impressed, he didn't reallly like the look of it, even looking at the v8 supercar vfs that were shown off today, the rear just looks like a NASCAR, and he still wasn't sold on it.

Buying a car from a company's high performance offerings has mainly to do with power and torque.

I'm not interested in Holden's or Ford's base cars.I would say that most members' interest would be

concerning the HSV and FPV offerings.

I disagree that the FG looks a decade behind the Commodore,infact the I would say that the FG has aged well by

having a more enduring shape but of course this is just my opinion.
