The justification for that is that 'we are still so much better off than other countries'...so fckn what. Think of how much better things could be and should be.But given the way things have panned-out with idiotic free-trade agreements etc. I don't think it's unrealistic to expect to pay more for a locally built product and I'll still do it on principle for as long as I feasibly can - certainly doesn't mean I'm over the moon about it.We are getting raped at both ends. Cheap imports are killing the local industry by making things cost more to produce due to diminished economies of scale but at the other end of the market it's nothing but price gouging.
