everytuner whinges and bitches over wanting to put Boschs into your car and that Dekas arent tunable and you will have a sh*t idle!! which is all a load off bulllllshhiittttttttt. if a tuner prefers a certain type of injector it means he needs to broaden his horizons and learn2tune others!!

I can appreciate where you coming from here! However deka 60's have a very high breakpoint and a very high minimum pulsewidth, so they 'technically' don't perform as good as a Bosch at low pulsewidths. If the set of deka's you're using isn't matched well then this seems to be where some problems start arising.

So yeah, get a tighly matched set and they work well.

Personally, if I had an FG I'd use the stock GT500 (Bosch EV14 part number 0 280 158 117) injectors for that power. Why?

1) Direct fit, no rail mods like the full length deka 60's and 968's;

2) Latest Bosch Technology (EV14's);

3) 6 hole diffuser plate (deka's and 968's have 4);

4) Factory style twin spray (deka is a single cone, 968's are a twin also);

5) 52lb/hr flow at 3 bar (inbetween deka 60's and 968's);

6) Characterized data is available (is for deka's, isn't for 968's); and

7) Price is good and they are waaaay more popular than deka's these days (internationally anyway).

BUT getting back to the original post.......not many tuners seem to be using these 52lb'ers, SO again always consult your tuner first before forking out your dough!

Edit...spelling!

Yes, 100% agreed.

If you are not planning on any excessive power and are happy with the 300-320 rwkw 98 oct or E85 this is the perfect choice.

As per manufacturers, you only need an injector to support your level of power.

Why water a daisey with a fire hose!

One advantage however is match setting.

Bosh allows for +/- 4% variance.

KPM can supply the GT 500 Bosch EV14 550cc at +/- 1% variation for increased fuel delivery precisoin. We also supply the correct scaling data to suit your car.

This injector in our opinion is a great choice.

I put GT500 injectors in place of the Nizpro drilled. There was a noticible increase in drivability compared to the Nizpros.

I also put in Toads 4.5 bar FPR that I still owe him another hamburger for.

I just don't see a need for a bigger injector with a car that has a flawed diff bush design. Once I do my twin bush setup I will use ID1000s

If anyone wants some GT500 injector data I can help them there. You cant rely totally on the spec sheet that comes with them. Some off figures there.

Agreed with a lot of what's said. When I started shopping around I went to tuners with the basic knowledge of mods I got from reading on the forums and suggested 60lb dekkas as my choice of injectors. One tuner said yea, done it heaps and work well. Another said they hate using them, and prefer to use bosch injectors.

At the end of the day organise who your tuner is first before you going buying parts. Things like cat and cooler they can work around fairly well but I'd have to give them a set of injectors because their cheaper and then have them on the dyno for an extra hour trying to tune them properly for your car. Only gonna cost more in the long run
