After you fit the new gearbox make sure the slip yoke and the tailshaft are in line. I needed to drop the centre of the tailshaft 22mm using spacers I made from some solid alloy rectangle bar. The output shaft of the new gearbox sits around 20mm lower than the T5Z.You could do it in a weekend if all goes well. It took me hours to get the old slipyoke of the tail shaft. I asked questions and waited for answers on a few things so this dragged it out over a couple of weeks.Its worth doing. I just remembered that Greg has a TR-6060 and they do have different ratios to BA/BF T56's. In the long run, 3.73's would be a good choice. Make sure you don't use 5th unless you are doing 80km/h at a minimum on a flat road, and 6th only at 100+. If the car is labouring, go back a gear. All going well, we do this conversion at work in about 5 hours. If you disengage the clutch does the rattle go away? If so it isn't the clutch, apparently the Lay shaft in the TR6060 makes the noise, mine has from pretty much day dot.
