Look this is what ive found out from a bit of reaserch over the years

1- swop valve body to old one

2- get the ecu/tcm from donor car and a " mate" that works at ford and go for gold in changing it all over ( ecu/tcm ) and reprogram everything

3- buy new mechatronics/valve body ( yes $3000 rrp )

Look its a bitch either way but this is the crap that has to happen

I dont know anyone that can hack the tcm to accept a new mechatronic unit yet

Oh and

4- diff bush replacement

Cheers

Is "look" the new cheers?

Look, I'm not saying it is but it's up there.

Hey guys, bit of a xr6 noob here. What happened for the trans cooler to fail? I have a bf xr6t ute with a 6 Spd and going to put a cooler on it, so just concerned if this should still go ahead. Tips? Cheers.

It already has a cooler in it. The stock cooler uses the coolant to draw the heat out of the trans fluid. The issue that happens with some of these coolers is that they can split and leak coolant into the trans which if not detected very quickly will spell the end for the trans.
