I am having the same issue. My car has new coils and plugs. Did a test run with no air filter and no change.

I have a new a1000 pump and custom surge so doubt it's the pump, unless the in tank is stuffed, but not sure how it would cause this issue. It's going back to the tuner next week to have a look.

so its been happening since installing the new pump and surge? if that's the case that's a pretty good indication that its something to do with the problem...

Hi, I have a BA 2003 XR6T with the same issue, I have replaced fuel filter, coils, plugs, PVC valve, air filter and had the throttle body cleaned with no luck. It still will not go beyond 4000rpm on boost.

Any more suggestions on this problem?

Have been thinking about this a bit more. My exhaust has been modified recently and is randomly touching the body in one section. Could this be affecting the knock sensor and have the ecu pull timing?

Ok the problem is fixed... strangely enough it was to do with the throttle body. I took it off and gave it full clean, noticed that the bolts were a little on the loose side, also cleaned the plugs with WD40 then blew them out with the air compressor. took off the TPS and also cleaned in there. put her all back together and made sure all the bolts and connections were done up properly and now she boosts right through all gears.

such an easy fix that didn't cost a thing and only took about an hour of my time.
