Fuel system issues tend to creep up slowly and degrade over time, such as dirty filters and injectors etc. Performance would have eroded gradually not just BAM! Spark tends to be issue ford have crap coil packs and don't buy vdo replacements learnt the hard way,Just for general maintance when the engines cold, tighten all exhaust manifold bolts every 15 to 20000kms if you drive it hard, 20 to 40 k if you drive it like a granny! Check the 4 turbo bolts and also dump pipe bolts. If you wanna check for spark issues or to help find out if there something wrong I believe looking at the spark plugs it tells you if you rich, lean, or have a dead coil if its none of the above something stupied like a cat. Or freak issue which is rare as f...k! Wrong size fuse which holds just enough to make fuel to start the car and cruise but then give out on you when you gun it. Happened once and I was pulling my hair out because I was looking at all major issue not thinking about simple, but that was a surge tank fuse. 15 amp on Bosch 044 melted it but was in a bad spot inside battery box under a ute tray near exhaust. Done by a previous tunner not the greatest idea
