I do find this a very interesting debate..

Alot of us are in agreement that stealing/trading/swapping tunes isn't cool or ethical.. But we all probably download pirate music and movies??

Is this because we think the little guys shouldn't be ripped off but the big corporations its okay?

So what if the 'second' tuner in question is using a 'cracked' version of HP Tuners as well as ripping out other shops tunes? Is cracking HP tuners acceptable? It's probably not the most profitable piece of software in existence.

Is it okay for a shop to pull another shops tune (because they probably know a bit of this stuff), but not okay for others like say Ralphy or Toads to use their software and try and make a buck off it doing the same?

What is the correct answer:

Q 1. Mr Revhead gets his car tuned at Joe Bloggs Raped Tunes to run at 12psi. He pays $600 for the work.

He has now changed states and wants to up his boost to 15psi. No other work required as he already has all the fruit.

What is his new tuner meant to do.

A. Start off a new tune from a stock file and charge the customer another $600

B. Pull the existing tune and touch up the boost maps to run 15psi and charge a couple of hundred dollars.

C. Pull the existing tune, check to see how raped it is and then decide either A or B as to the best course of action.
