It's not stealing customers. Those people have a choice to stay with the original tuner or not.

Every day people try and get us to change phone companies or power/gas companies. Do you ever refer to that as stealing?

Personally I wouldn't leave any tuner to have Rapid tune my car. Too many bad customer service reports for my liking, but that's just my own opinion. If he wants to tune then he's perfectly within is rights to do so. He can also market himself to anyone he likes.

What a scandal me and my lap top have began!

First up I'm not interested in stealing customers from him, I'm happy to tune a few cars here and there because I enjoy it , and it's extra income for my business.

I don't advertise tuning customer cars, but if things lead to it, then ill progress on a larger degree.

I'm not interested in chasing kws, I tune for street ability , factory manors , correct temperature compensations ... If your main concern is joining the 300kw or 400kw, or running tens, I'm not for you... Ill tune a motor to its safe capabilities , I'm not interested in doing run after run trying to make 390kw into 400 just for the sake if a number.

I am defiantly not new to tuning turbo falcons, I tuned my own turbo EA back in 2001.

Just because I haven't tuned professionally and promoted myself as a tuner doesn't mean I'm some hack ripping off shop tunes and having a crack at it myself.

Unfortunately in business people are easily threatened by the "new guy", if your crap at it, the big boys don't care, but if your good at it, we'll we can see what happens there...

Curious, if your not new to tuning etc, why would you go to someone to get your car tuned ?

Tune plagerism (which is a good way of putting it) will only help the Industry as a whole. It will not hinder it. The tuner who is complaining about his stolen tunes is just looking at it from his standpoint. The more info out there about tuning the more people will mod their cars. So more engine rebuilds, more drivetrain mods, more suspension mods, more Fords sold.

We need to share knowledge, not try and keep everything secret.

Yeah but when your knowledge puts food on the table.. You don't really wanna share it.. Because if someone else uses your knowledge and opens a company doing the same in the same general area, it doesn't inspire more people to buy the product or service.. So same number of potential customers spread across two companies now instead of one..
