It's not that I need to be told, just wanted some information from people who have in depth experienced both so I can make a decision. I'm going to test drive both this weekend just to be sure, but there's only so much you can learn from a short drive.

The trouble is you are going to get a bias reply on here, and if you went to a Expensive Daewoo forum, you will get the same for the Commy.

You will be surprised what a drive can tell you. Try and get a decent drive if possible.

IMHO the Late model camira is more appealing inside than the Falcon, but I am not a huge fan of the Commy ute because of the blind spots.

Best of luck whichever way you go.

Bogan special rides better, sounds better, handles better and looks better...it is also more expensive, uses more fuel, more for rego, more for insurance and is slower and costs more money to get power out of it... depends how much money you got and what you want out of it. I personally would go a Bogan special in the ute but if sedan an xr6t hence why I am a part of this forum :sungum:

Funny though! Some pretty honest opinions here. Wonder if the Expensive Daewoo forums would give ford a plug at all? I prefer the Fg interior and look (like mk1 better than mk2). Had the same decision to make with the sedan as I really liked the SS originally. Economy, rego, auto and price are what pointed 'me' to the xr6t.

The ve Late model camira has the worst handbrake ever it feels and looks like it should in a kia and the a pillar blindspots are crazy. The 6lt feels like it is about to get up and boogey but never really does.Drive one back to back with an fg turbo on the same day and you will make your mind up I did

I've driven both and I ended up with a FG XR6T ute. My personal opinion is the FG looks better, drives better, handles better, goes better. I ended up buying luxury pack in mine which I think is much better then the VE interior. Only thing I liked was the V8 roar always loved that, but personally go the XR6T. Bang for your buck!

what state r u in

I'm in Brisbane, QLD.

Thanks for all the replies, I guess I won't really know until I do the test drive. The trouble is finding a 300+ rwkw xr6t to test, as I'd hate to make the decision between the two by test driving the 320rwkw VE SS and a stock xr6t.

Yeah will be hard to compare if you can't find an FG with similar power figures. Good luck with it mate.
