It controls the boost alot better

U realise after u fit this exhaust u need a custom tune ?

This will help the tuner a great deal and save u potentially a few coins in tuning time

ahh ok. well these are the mods im thinking I should start with to get

-dekka 60lb injectors
-WALBRO RACING 275 LPH fuel pump GSS340(direct drop in for factory)

-cold air induction (in same position as factory)
-larger front mount intercooler (HDI ok?)
-x3 flash tuner (heard mixed reviews about INTUNE tunes?)
-have been told turbo oil filter and line should be replaced due to stock ones blocking?
-dyno tune

will all that be ok?

and if necessary ported waste gate/flapper/actuator kit. ive been quoted $415, if I remove it myself.

The flapper mod issue is where I am "stuck" as well. The WA workshop I go to uses VCM suite and they say that the change to the big dump pipe and improved exhaust will cause boost issues that they cannot control and so the mod has to be done. Car is a BF. I already have the 12lb actuator fitted.

However, it seems that the better east coast tuners can tune the cars with the 4 inch dump and not have boost spikes. I am "stuck" at 288 RWKW. The 300 club is out of reach at the moment.

I guess it is down to the tuner - so pick well!!

Yes some can work without a flapper mod but most like the better control

Its a good mod to do anyway if your on the hunt for more power eventually

I'm getting a tune 2moro so had the cat changed today to 100cell. On the way home I gave it a bit to 3k rpm & no issues with overboost etc.
As I had no issues I gradually increased rpm over 3 runs in 2nd gear from 3k, 4k then to 5k & had no overboost or limp mode issues.
Should I have seen overboost in this situation? exhaust is stock apart from 100 cell cat.
