It Def ain't the Bluetooth Module, I bought a new one about a month ago to work with my iPhone and it didn't change my iPod stuff. :turboboink:

I do recall my Audio Interface Module being updated on first service, that was when the problem started... Well if this dealer doesn't update it perhaps I will go back to the first one..

Thanks guys, its good to know that it can be done. Now I just need to find a dealer that will believe me. :shakefist:

Hi All

I just bought a 14 month old FG XR6 non turbo, which has the tech pack, now I have a minor problem with the bluetooth and my I-phone, it connects ok but the radio/I-pod/cd volume doesn't drop when recieving or making calls, which makes it hard to hear the phone ringing, once you answer the call the music level drops out and you can hear the the other person just fine.

I have spoken with two different dealerships about this and one say that they need to update which will cost me $85 and will fix the problem. The other was reluctant to give me a price but said they will "look after me" which I found out meant that they will do a reset of the bluetooth module for $85 and if that doesn't work they will update the software will will set me back $125. Both have said that it isn't covered under warrenty, but if I took the car to them for a service they would do the reset for free.

Now after reading an earlier post in this thread I think I will try the reset myself first to see if it fixes the problem as I think it's downright rude to be hit up for $85 to do a reset. Is it only me that thinks this way?

The cars not due for its next service for 3200km's so I don't really want to wait that long and to be honest I don't really want to take my car to any f the local dealerships for it service esp as I have my own mechanic that I trust around the corner from my work.

Didn't realise that was a problem, mine does exactly that and assumed it was by design. The ring tone and caller announcement comes through over the top of the music and only once you answer it is the music muted/paused.

Mine doesn't come over the top of the music, if the volume is up above just audable you can't hear it ring so you can't tell if there is a call coming in unless you happen to notice it on the screen. Unless you can adust the ring tone volume, but I haven't been able to find any reference to being able to adjust it and both dealerships said it was an issue.

Do you know if/how you can adjust the volume of the ring tone?

There is an option in the audio settings for the phone volume, can't recall exactly where but it's the same section as the reverse sensor volume (if you've go that option)

If that doesn't help then it could either be something with the phone or a faulty bluetooth module - if the later then you shouldn't have to pay to get it rectified.

Sorry mate - there's not. The setting I was thinking of is the Aux volume.

Obviously the only phone volume is what you adjust with the volume controls while in a call...which will do absolutely nothing to help your predicament. :w00t2:

Hey, a mate has told me his premium sound has an ipod connection (once you buy the cable from ford). I was just wondering if my standard 6 stacker system has the same feature as im sick of changing cd's, also does the ipod link with the system and are you able to control the ipod with the stereo controls.

Thanks

You can get aux cables from fraud or ebay (maybe been a while since I looked). As far as I know you canot control ipos from steering column. I just got a small control unit accessory that plugs into ipod and can locate near gear box so the ipod not out and about in view.
