I have had major problems in the last week - keeps on freezing any Ipod I try to play in my G6ET.

Also, it always resets the Ipod when you turn the ignition off then back on and always starts playing the first song (in alphabetical order), no matter what you were listening before.

I have informed the dealer who I got the car from but they just shrug their shoulders and said they will look at it at my 3000K service.

CJF077, I think the firmware on fords adaptor is out of date, or maybe its the ipods? just have a look around google for a possible compatible firmware update.

anyone know if the ipod touch works with the adaptor? I was thinking of buying one for it but just dont know iif it'll work with it or if its a incompatible version also? anyone whos tried feedback on this please? thanks

This is the Ford page regarding compatibility:

Ford Australia - iPod integration

I'm having the same issue as BAXR6T, If I plug in my 80GB iPod Classic it plays for a second and then stops. It displays connected on the ipod screen but still stays on AUX1 on the ICC. Interestingly if you press play it does nothing but the click sounds comes through the speakers.

I know it used to work because I could get it to say unsupported device when I pluged in my iPhone or old 60GB iPod photo, but cant even get that happening now :(

I guess it needs a service!

just double check the connection in the centre console, I had one that was a little loose and the unit itself was loose in the console. I know this seems obvious, but not everyone thinks of this

True, just hound your service guys Chris, that's what they are there for - if they give you lip service, just tell them to do their job!

I already reported that in the ipod issues thread

all new generation ipods which were released two days ago are not compatible

including gen 4 nano

the software was made before they were.

thanks DJ but my nano is about 2yrs old so fair chance that's not the problem, doesnt matter now anyway, bought an 8gb Touch and works a treat. Sorted
