OK, digging up a slightly older thread just to confirm the correct part number for the Amped Ipod connector is:

P/N: BAF289455 BA

Just so everyone is clear

and yes I know dags mentioned it earlier in this thread...

And if you plug it into a power supply there's a good chance it will still whine like a Banshee...

Hey all,

So I have read a lot about how a lot of you out there have hooked up various video outputs into the ICC, now I think its my time (finally) to set myself on the task of making this happen for my ride.

I know this has probably been done to death so sorry to all of you out there who have to re read all the blah blah re audio visual. but thank you to all who can help.

I want to be able to run many things off the ICC these are:

iPod Classic

Reversing camera

possibly a dvd player or xbox

possibly a computer

Now I know I can and should get one of those converters from www.carconverters.com, but I also want to be able to put some screens in the rear head rests.

Issue 1:

Where do I put the output to the new rear head rest screens? would the flow chart below be correct?

Source > RCA > split to > Video booster > rear screens

> split to > rgb converter > ICC

I will add the reversing camera straight to the car converter as I think that the converter has 2 inputs?

Issue 2:

Cable to ICC.

from the converter do I make a VGA cable from the converter to the Aepro 711761 connector pack? which then connects to the ICC??

I have seen the this thread:

http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...rputer&st=0

so will this VGA cable fit onto the converter im talking about?? and the 711761 straight onto the ICC?

or is this purely for computers to be hooked straight into the ICC? all I really need is my iPod hooked up as its got plenty of space for videos.

Thanks to all those threads I have read so far, I just need a simple (LOL) explaination....

DGP

EDIT: just was looking on the carconverters website it comes with a cable to plug into the back of the converter, so I must just need the 711761 right???
