I've been away for 2 days - moving to Townsville soon.

As for the mobile phone power, all falcons will have it, the plug is actually blue - mine has the Ford amplified Aux input plugged between the HK and the blue plug. It is bundled with the Aux in plug which is a white square 4 pin plug.

As for the antenna, If you use the ford Aux input you don't need to access the antenna for the FM modulator. If you use the modulator, I 'think' you should be able to get to the antenna with the tissue box removed. I believe it plugs into the bottom of the ICC. I didn't need to remove the ICC at all, only the 'wings' next to the ICC and the shift surround.

Not sure on make brand cost or availability or even where to get them from but it works on suction rather than drilling holes.

Found it so I thought I'd wack it up to throw in another idea... :stirthepot:

I dont have premium sound, so what would be the best way (if any) of connecting the drive+play audio out directly into the system and not use the wired fm transmitter?

With all the young techno savvy members on this site, I figure there'd be someone who knows about these Ipod nano units.

I got a surprise Chrissie pressie from the missus, one of these tiny new fangled nano Ipods.... bloody thinner than a Biafran it is.. and black like one too!

Anyway, got the thing up and running and transferred some of my favourites... all seems good.

My daughter, in the mean time, so impressed with the nano, bought one also.

I just tried to get onto the computer to transfer some more music from iTunes, but the compute fails to communicate with my Ipod :fool:

The USB link just does NOT plug and play. No recognition at all ???

Followed the links on the Ipod help screen.... not very useful.

Either the cable is faulty (which I doubt, as it's only been used twice) or my nano is faulty. iPod is charging with USB, but NOT communicating at all.

I purchased an iTrip on the weekend, and am wondering if that may have stuffed something up.

Any iPod gurus out there who can shed any light.....

cheers

from a frustratred old codger!

use your ipod nano cable, that you had with yours

itrip wouldnt have done anything, have you tried restarting your computer?

also, does your daughter have her songs and itunes on the same computer as yours ?

you could uninstall and reinstall itunes and then start fresh uploading your itunes

yes. she installed iTunes in her own folder.

you could uninstall and reinstall itunes and then start fresh uploading your itunes

I'll try this next... but the computer doesn't recognise the attachment to the usb port. When it was working last week, iTunes would automatically open up once the USB port recognised the nano was plugged in.

bloody technology.

where's my gramaphone!

that's where your problem is I think, I had teh same problem when I tried to install my sisters itunes on the same computer. it happens because itunes is confused between which ipod to use, when you installed yours and your daughters, you would have had to install itunes and put a serial code in which was individual to your own ipod, if your daughters was the last ipod to be installed on your computer, she willhave no problem uploading songs

you have to find a way to export the itunes playlists, so that you each have your own separete itunes all together. all of your songs have to be on intunes, and hers on a completely separte itunes,

to make things easier, do you have a 2nd computer?
