FG_G6E You seem to know a bit about this. Do you work in spare parts or something? The module I have is

8R2919C142A not

8R2Z19C142BA like you suggest. Do you know if this would work with a different harness? If this was the case even then buying a new kit with a pocket and iPod cable may be waste. Was told this kit was out of a early 2010 but the module says 5/2008 so I guess I've probably been duped.

I Work at a ford dealership in spare parts. That module you have is a early 2008 module it should still work in your car. The only problem will be is the module might not show which is playing but that might be fixed with a software update. I have a 5/08 G6E and with the software update the module works perfect. Before it said not supported. Need any more help let me know

I am wanting to connect my iPod/iPhone to the premium sound system in my bf xr6t. I have seen and read about a few that will allow you to play the music but you need to control via the iPod. Are there any setups that will allow me to connect iPod to stereo, charge and let me use standard controls and the steering wheel ( not control via iPod)

I had a read of some previous posts but didn't find what I was after

Thanks
