Is there any other way I could have known for certain what was on my car? Cheers!

I get the car back tomorrow with apparantly the factory turbo. All I remember is the garrett M12.Car was having issues with turbo, only getting like 2-4psi of boost and sorta going everywhere it was not so good. throwing fault codes todo with wastegate actuator and solenoid, boost too high/low etc. It's under warranty from a car dealer so they are putting the original turbo in the car (which for insurance reasons im happier tbh). I'll know right away if it is a different turbo and will report back on that one. They have taken a very long time to sort this issue out and I am quite pissed off and just want my car back. Here I was googling garrett m12 thinking WHY THE HELL DOES THIS NOT EXIST.All the intake piping looked standard I couldn't see any evidence of it being a different turbo than stock (myself). I am going to quiz the mechanic/dealer tomorrow when car is returned. Bearings in old turbo were stuffed anyway - so that's been fixed under warranty.
