I ended up getting the ring pulled out. According to the post linked above no re-tune is needed so I have gone with that.

Couple of questions then:

How would I know if a tune was required, what sort of engine feedback would tell me its not right?

I have noticed (and have posted a separate topic) that when I turn the engine off there is often a loud fan that runs for a minute or so, I am guessing this is some sort of cooling fan, is that normal? Call me paranoid but I have only had the car for a week and only noticed the fan since doing the exhaust.

Mate go to tuner and see what they say, I've heard bad things about xforce like drone and that you won't get full power out of them.

I'm sure autotech custom makes everything them self your best bet is to drive down there and have a chat with them, they most likely have a car already in there with the set up you want that way you get to hear it before they put it onto your car

Pfff.. Plenty of people here pushing big power through xforce systems..

This isn't an LSX forum where the difference between xforce and defillipo systems of about 6rwhp are a massive deal..

definately something im not missing that's for sure, constant debating/whinging about this make af zorst is better than that brand of zorst because it bends up this way better or tucks up better or you will lose/gain x amount of hp if you do this or buy that ...whinge...whinge etc..

I'm not whinging, I'm just saying see what the tuner says, autotech might use another brand or custom make everything them self, and you never really know what sounds better till you hear it in the flesh

Xforce FG exhausts work very well, the 4inch stainless I had on my G6ET (stock exhaust now) was awesome, sounded bad but not silly loud.

As for the mild steel version, if anyones heard Vevapowers car on E95 they'll know... gtr on roids!
