Hi guys, im new to all this so im hoping im posting in the right section etc... I know its prob already been covered somewhere in here...
just purchased 07 f6 tornado, looking at a few MODS. not after any crazy power, just a bit more with out having to upgrade internals etc. From searching through this forum, ive come up with what I think it will need to get me started but, need some more knowledge as mine is very limited lol

ok, ive seen some different opinions on this one- Dump pipe, 4inch (is a replacement dump pipe necessary or stock sufficient?) wast gate actuator, and flap needs replacing to do so?

I will definitely get a new highflow 5inch cat. but from the cat back the twin 2.5 stock should not need replacing? maybe drop the middle muffler to gain a bit of sound?

-dekka 60lb injectors
-WALBRO RACING 275 LPH fuel pump (direct drop in for factory)
-cold air induction (in same position as factory)
-larger front mount intercooler (HDI ok?)
-x3 flash tuner (heard mixed reviews about INTUNE tunes?)
-have been told turbo oil filter and line should be replaced due to stock ones blocking?
-dyno tune

stock boost?, stock internals.

can everything listed be fitted by myself apart from exhaust due to not being able to access under carriage?

please add and correct me on this post guys! your info is much appreciated icon_biggrin.gif !

Welcome to the mad house :blind: How much more do you want? More later? Plenty on here know more than me, but fuel system would be on the list, then you shouldnt have to worry about it if you want more power later. High flow cat, standard exhaust otherwise should be OK for around 300KW at the wheels. Bigger intercooler, injectors, turbo mods, and a good tune with SCT should do.

And if you get sick of the ute, give it to me :sungum:

If I were you I'd go Process West Stage 2 intercooler and piping arrangement. Injectors (lots to choose from), but go with what your tuner is comfortable with( also you can't fit these before a tune, must be done at the time). Stick to the stock exhaust minus rear muffler, and a 100cpi Metal Cat. K&N filter is all that is required as you already have the F6 airbox. This will net around 300rwkw's, at a very good bang for your buck outlay.

Cheers

thanks for the quick response guys! humm I think id be happy (I guess we all say that before wanting more) with 300-350rwkw.

so also recommended is a surge tank too?

ill check out the process west intercooler kit

I appreciate your input guys!!!

id like to get all the gear ready to save on multiple tunes, so this may be a lengthy process lol

Go a surge tank and 044 over an intank. Fitting a pump to a ute is a pain.

Ported, waste gate, 4" dump, 5" Cat, stock catback.

A decent cooler and piping kit

Injectors and tune should net 350rwkw.

This is what I did BA XR6 Turbo Ute 300 rwkw at 10psi BF engine

FPV F6 Intercooler

Crow Valve Springs with retainers

Walbro Fuel Pump

Transmission Cooler

Venom 5 Inch cat welded to stock dump Pipe

Middle Muffler Removed and straight pipes welded in

Braided Turbo Oil Line

VCM Tune

This is the basic list to reach 300kw

I would definetely go the Process West stage 1 or 2 Cooler as you can upgrade it at a later stage should you want more power

Dekka 60's are fine if you do not want to use e85.

On 98 mine made 370,

Mods were,

60lb dekkas.

X-force dump, cat and twin 2.5 cat back

Process West 2.2

Walbro Intank

XCal 3 and tune

Valve springs were fine at this level.

Thanks! you all make it sound quite easy lol

sweet I think ill stick with the dekkas(checking with my tuner) and go the 4inch dump+cat.

rednose did you have to do turbo work, ie flapper and waste gate? how much will I be looking at for that do you think?

spinr33 how did you go installing the fuel pump in your ute?? heard its quict a big job.

thanks again for your advice!
