Hi,

I got some 20" wheels for my Falcon XR6 and got some really cheap
tyres that are terrible in the wet!! They are Altenzo and they are so
dangerously slippery that after a month I have decided to get new ones..
"You get what you pay for"

What are a good pair of 20" tyres?
When I had my stock wheels the Dunlop SP3000's were great.

Thanks,

I'm running Nitto Invos at the moment which are proving good for traction so far. Quite reasonably priced from Taleb Tyres as well.

Want to know this too^^

Heaps of tyres out there and everyone will have a different opinion! Invo's have the most votes though if that's anything to go off.

Bang for buck though achilles atr sports are pretty good

Yeah.. I have heard some shocking reports about ATR sports in the wet though.. A mate of mine turned his into burnout tyres as he didn't feel safe with them when it rained.

I had Altenzos on my N/A G6E. I got 50,000kms out of them, but they were an absolute liability in the wet. N/A's shouldnt break traction at 80km/h!

How long is a piece of string? Alot of factors will effect tyre life. Treadwear is rated at 260 for these tyres (W rated) so I'd guesstimate about 15-20,000 kms if you look after them, obviously alot less is you engage in regular 'spirited' driving.

I've only done about 3,000 kms on my INVO's so haven't been through a set yet. If I get 15,000 out of them I'd be happy, given the level of grip they offer you have to expect higher wear rates. As an example, prior to fitting the INVO's I would get wheel spin from an 80km/h roll-on (Dunlops & Kuhmos 275/30/20 rears), with these just a slight chirp and they hook up. These would also have to be the quietest 20" tyre I have ever fitted, I'm a fan
