Well what I can say is a very small portion of my tax pays for a very small portion of you wage. very very very small portions. I think a larger portion of my tax pays for those stinking unemployed bludgers. :nuts2:

Nah owna, these days most of our taxes pay for politician :finger: trips abroad and their extravagant pensions :banghead:

I have worked since I was 18. I am now 28. I pull more than twice as much as most 'beat' cops and half of it goes in taxes. You do the math.

I don't get the dole, I don't get child support. I don't like your assertions or stereotyping placing me in the same group as the above people - mind you, that being said, a lot of people have quite legitimate reasons for being on such welfare, and that's fine by me.

I am aware of what my taxes pay for. For this reason I don't call cops 'f*cking pricks' (as many of my peers do) for pulling me over for speeding or an RBT or whatever. It'd be pretty sad if I was paying in some small part for that cops wages and getting a sh*tty job (eg not pulling people - including me - over) in return. it works both ways though.

My point was the tax payers (which includes me) pay for the cops, and they didnt live up to expectations. Nothing more, nothing less. I am sure there are very good reasons why, but at the end of the day, that's the problem, not Summernats. And that's that.

'nix

Aw grow up a bit. I never asserted anything about you being on the dole blah, blah, blah. Unless you are pulling in excess of $250K a year then u dont earn twice what I do (an average beat cop).

As for Police not living up to the expectations at Summernats that year, well what would suggest we did with your hard earned tax ? We love hearing exactly what we should be doing from people who have no idea about the situation at the time.

If you want to play the 'I earn more than you do' or 'my dad's tougher than your dad' line there are plenty of ricer forums for you to play on. This conversation died a natural death about a month ago. If you want to open its door again dont get all hoity toity when it slams in your face.

Here endeth the lesson, I wont comment on this thread again. Might open up a thread where we bash someone else but coppers but no-one would comment :banghead:

125k? That come in a brown paper bag maybe? Or is that in Pesos? I'll ask the next traffic cop what he gets when I next get pulled over. I'm sure there's a few commissions/corruption enquiries that would love to hear how an average cop gets that much per annum.

Again, and not suprisingly, you missed the point. Its not about how much I earn or you earn. Its about the fact the police are paid to do a job, and could not do it.

The solution? I don't know. I never claimed I did. Perhaps more funding so more police can be afforded is the answer. I am sure with 100 or so more cops you could have easily controlled the situation right? So there's a solution.

Summernats pays an aweful lot for security onsite, and for the most part it works. They look after their lot, whats out side is up to the cops. Had the riot occurred inside natex/epic, then yeah, the blame would lie with Summernats, but it didnt. And that's the facts.
