Let alone the lost time without my car, the hire cars I needed to have to be without my car and then my work being without me for a day here and there as I couldn't get to work...

Has anyone heard about updating the firmware for these cars apparently it can be done and it makes the car a bit more compatible with phones and the interface? But does it offer anything tuning or traction control benefits.

Also any takes on the Astra :P

one of my customers did about $5000 damage when his shaft let go.

to the op, if you are going to run high 300-400 rwkw you are going to need a 12 lb actuator as a minimum so that means you will not be able to run an 8lb tune

Johnnys car was a 12month build 90% because of atomic motors. And at 144mph, it'll be a while before a g6 catches him.

So a 2nd car was provided to him by HPF for free then while his car sat idle for 12 months?

In the same time mine has done nearly 30k at 400rwkw on the road and about 30 passes down the 1/4. Been off the road for less than 2 weeks, both planned. I've done 105k in my car and it's been off the road for less than 2 weeks in 4 years.

It is these kind of considerations and costs that NO ONE ever talks about. They don't allow for them. All they see is that you need a GT42 to run an easy 10 at 144mph.

It's not money. It's planning ahead. Using the right gear the first time.

No corners cut.

You won't get 300rwkw @ 8psi from the stock G6ET. Pretty sure stock boost is around 9-10psi. It'll need 13-15psi to get 300.

with the right parts 12 psi will get close to 320 rwkw

I beat you can't wait to tune a customers car there Mick, with knock off, 2nd hand parts running E85 and trying for 10's.

Like asking for a social media meltdown...

That would be the difference from making 400rwkw on a standard engine than doing a built engine to go to 500-550rwkw and beyond, it's obvious his pushing for far better than 10's, in fact if it all came together with 144mph it would be somewhere down near the middish 9's I would think, and I'm pretty sure his looking to go further than that still, give him some time, it will come...

It's pretty obvious the more you push the more you break, It's not Johnny's fault that thing's go wrong, and when the Engine builder's in another state and involves engine's in and out and loading on pallet's and shipping back and forth it's time consuming...

If he wound his down to 400rwkw he could probly drive around Australia LOL!!
