However, what concerns me is that if you look at the viscosity specs of trans fluid, e.g. penrite stuff: http://www.penriteoil.com.au/pis_pdfs/0ATF%2095LE.pdf The viscosity at 40º is 46, whereas the ford defined operating temperature (nearing 100ºc) is 8.3. Therefore with our trans running so cold, would the internals not be working harder to move the trans fluid around? Thoughts?

After much trawling the Internet and trial and error I now have trans temp for the BTR to be able to be monitored via Torque: PID: 22092C Scale Factor: x1 Equation: (((A*256)+B)-32)*5/9 Header: <-- Blank Did this today. Have been using Torque Pro for quite a while now on multiple cars. Thankyou for posting this. I know it's an old post but was the first I found with the right PID Worked perfectly and temp tracked exactly as expected. Sat near 80 degC once it had stabilised on my BA wagon. External cooler(rad bypass) and flush Monday so will do a comparison temp and post it here.

OBD Fusion is available for IOS and it does Trans Fluid Temp Similar settings as the Torque app Currently only showing in F not C but I'm sure it can be changed in the settings, I'll have a play when I get a chance
