So instead of sending the request to the PCM at 7E0 the request is sent to the TCM at 7E1. No use for you on a BA with PCM-controlled 4Spd though. So it must be there, its just a matter of identifying the PID it utilises.Transmission InputsTransmission Fluid Temperature SensorThe Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor islocated in a harness within the AutomaticTransmission oil pan. The TFT measures thetemperature of the oil in the automatic transmissionsump. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) usesthe TFT signal to vary shift pressures in response tothe transmission oil temperature for consistent andsmooth shifts. It is also used to indicate transmissionoverheat conditions. The TFT sensor uses a thermistor that is sensitive totemperature variations. The resistance of thethermistor decreases as the temperature of thetransmission oil increases.

That being said, Palmer (who created Dashcommand) have a HUGE list of Ford specific PID's, as I have in their SCAN XL software, BUT They dont and wont publish the addresses for them. I presume they paid big $$ for them, as they charge extra for the Ford PID's to be included. That being said, its pretty piss poor they dont include them in the dashcommand software as its not a cheap app!very f*cking piss poor! It's a bloody expensive app! Maybe we need to email spam them and get it added. I really want trans temp and it should be accessible.

Bulletime Donating Members 937 Member For: 13y 10m 19d Gender: Male Posted 07/02/13 05:33 AM Share Posted 07/02/13 05:33 AM Well DashCommand is awesome except that it doesn't do trans temp, as it appears neither does anything on iPhone, and I don't own any androids (or cyborgs) either. Buy a $100 android tablet for the car. That's what I'll be doing when my niece wants hers back
