Also, I tried a few different hardware adapters. Now using the Scantool.net OBDlink. It has a sleep mode built in so I can just leave it plugged in without draining the battery.

Also, forget the slimline stuff, just pop the white OBD plug out from the socket and push it out. There's a little clip on each side that will pop out easily using a key. Then you can have it all plugged in with your fuse box shut.

Do not buy this one if you have an Android and your going the povo route as its slow and managed to do lots of funky sh!t to my terry while plugged in like tacho and speedo not working and also threw check engine light, one other and every farking error code in the book...

Mate if you could dig into the settings and look for the codes for trans temp that would be hugely appreciated... I've hunted around and cant find anything :'(

From the main screen get the settings tab up (bottom left button on phone), Press the Settings Tab, Manage Extra PIDs/Sensors (bottom left button again), Add predefined set and select Ford or Other (cant remember)...

Mine was in this area and I cant remember how I got it there but the above info should help a little!

My car is a 09 F6X (turbo territory) though with the 6 speed auto so may or may not be the same and it may or may not screw your car up...
