Yes u can with the torque app for ( android ) and the rev for iphone

The torque app is better than rev imho

The apps are free but the better ones are a few bucks

Hardware wise go these

The iphone one is by far the most expensive at nearly $60

Asaik the generic bluetooth ones for android are cheap and not compatiable with the " iphone dongle "

Lot of info in this thread over at AFF http://fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11326889&highlight=OBDII

As Jet said the Android App is a lot better than the iPoo one. Also there is now a new "slim" version of the ELM327 OBDII dongle that will allow you to put the fuse box cover back on and they are about $15. Assuming you have an Android smartphone you can be in business for about $20 including the paid app and dongle :)

I've got an obd2 Bluetooth thingy it was a bit over $100 from the us, works android or iPhone and the DashCommand app in iOS. Also have ram mount setup to mount my iPhone to the dash, prob about ~$40ish there. I haven't seen trans temp available unless its a custom code from our ecus?? There's boost, map, intake temp coolant temp, fuel trip timing advance fuel flow rpm and speed. One of the kiwi wifi obds has an input from other sensors so you could theoretically plug in some trans temp sensor and read that. But yeah if there's a code for the trans temp I'd be cheering to get it!!!

The slimline one for $15 is junk unfortunately been there done that

The obd2 port can un clip and house the big dongle and pop the cover back on anyways
