Hi guys does anybody know if I can fit my front 4 pot brembo calipers of my F6 FG to the rear? As I would like to replace my front calipers with 6 pots. I understand that pads and disks will make a difference, but if I would have know they had 6 pots available I would have ordered the car with them, dealer never told me and I never bothered to ask

Cant move the front 4 pots front to the back unfortunately.

Do you have the bigger Territory PBR rear brakes with 328mm rotors?

Difference between 4pot and 6pots on the front is not noticeable on the street. Rotor size is the same.

Even on the circuit it would take at least 5laps before any difference was noticed.

I've been using the 4pots on the circuit for years with DBA5000's and various race spec pads which are changed the night before)

Some DBA4000's will be a nice upgrade for you on the street with Ferodo DS2500 pads.

Pads and fluid will make a much bigger difference than 6 pots.

If you aren't happy with the performance of your current 4 pots, switch to a DOT 5.1 fluid.

Great thanx for that. I'm running the castrol Srf brake fluid. I was hoping to do a few track days but I wouldnt dream of using then on the track. I cook them on the street. My xr6 turbo ute brakes about the same, if not better, so I guess I'm not too happy with the brakes on the f6. So braided lines and some good disks. Have you heard much about the TRW pads?

I'm surprised that its possible to find the limits of the Brembos on the street. Somethig must be wrong and it's probably pads or fluid bleed related.

I also have stainless steel braided lines at the front.

I've gone through 4 sets of pads so far over the last few years at the circuit.

Stock ones were fine on the circuit with road tyres but no good with semi's.

SBS Dual Carbon Race pads were good, as were some Endless PC35's, but best pads by a mile for stopping power so far have been Project Mu H16-03 (track use only though).

They cooked/cracked an expensive set of DBA5000's though after a few track days though but this has hopefully been solved with some front ducting.

Haven't heard of TRW pads sorry.

Ok I know the rear has the standard rear calipers, either single piston of twin piston. Do you think that upgrading to a 4 pot rear would be a bigger advantage than the. 6 pot fronts? I'm already running castrol Srf brake fluid and I'm looking into braided lines. I have been told by numerous ppl that there isn't that much difference between the 6 and 4 pots mainly because the pads are the same size anyway. So for me I think adding 4 pot rear, braided lines , some half decent rotors and good pads will work out unless I'm told otherwise
